چکیده

Background: microRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs that can ignite the degradation of mRNAs or inhibit protein translation and therefore essential for several physiological pathological functions. miRNAs regulate up to 60 % human mRNA, including genes related cartilage development, homeostasis, OA pathology. For example, miR-9 inhibits matrix metalloproteinase 13 miR-140 expression level correlates with disease progression knee (Zhang et al.; Chao al.). Under certain circumstances, be released into body fluids easily detected in blood samples. Therefore, hot candidates as biomarkers early diagnosis structural OA. Objectives: The aim this study was evaluate circulating patients hand osteoarthritis (HOA) healthy individuals. Simultaneously, we studied specific order differentiate between erosive non-erosive subsets disease. Methods: Eight HOA (erosive: n=4, 3 females, mean age=63.7±7 yrs; non-erosive: age= 62.4±6 yrs) 4 controls (3 age=63.5±7 were included study. Firstly, Advance TaqMan low-density assay (TLDA) performed purpose miRNA high-throughput screening. Differently expressed further verified by real-time qPCR on validation cohort 31 (19 age=66.2±7 yrs, erosive: n=9, n=10, controls: n=12). Results: TLDA profiling displayed 346 plasma controls. We demonstrated 40 differently compared Using a qPCR, increased levels 10 controls, e.g. miR-191-5p (3.4 fold), miR-151a-3p fold) miR-222-3p (2.4 fold). did not find any miRNA, which could distinct from subset Conclusion: Extensive revealed associated help better understand pathogenesis. Circulating microRNAs in aging

Aging research is currently focusing on circulating functional markers that can help discriminate the mechanisms of physiological aging from those of agerelated diseases (ARDs). The cellular model of choice for this type of studies, cell senescence, has been providing highly valuable information. Senescent cells are characterized by permanent cell cycle arrest and acquisition of a senescence-as...

Circulating microRNAs in Cardiovascular Diseases.

Cardiovascular Diseases (CD) are currently one of the most common causes of death. Because heart related deaths occur on such an enormous scale this phenomenon is referred to as an epidemic. Chronic and acute injury of the heart could be an effect of cardiac remodeling, which is a result of molecular, cellular and interstitial changes, influenced by hemodynamic load or neurohormonal activation ...

Circulating MicroRNAs in cardiovascular disease.

MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are short, single-stranded, noncoding, highly conserved posttranscriptional regulators found in a variety of tissues including circulating blood.1 MicroRNAs regulate gene expression posttranscriptionally through inhibiting translation from and/or inducing degradation of specific RNAs.2 Certain miRNAs are expressed and function cell-type specifically or in association with par...

MicroRNAs: Important Epigenetic Regulators in Osteoarthritis

Multiple mechanisms are implicated in the development of primary osteoarthritis (OA), in which genetic and epigenetic factors appear to interact with environmental factors and age to initiate the disease and stimulate its progression. Changes in expression of microRNAs (miRs) contribute to development of osteoarthritis. Numerous miRs are involved in cartilage development, homeostasis and degrad...

miRandola: Extracellular Circulating MicroRNAs Database

MicroRNAs are small noncoding RNAs that play an important role in the regulation of various biological processes through their interaction with cellular messenger RNAs. They are frequently dysregulated in cancer and have shown great potential as tissue-based markers for cancer classification and prognostication. microRNAs are also present in extracellular human body fluids such as serum, plasma...
